Since last week, German film fans have finally been able to watch Wonder Woman 1984. The DC sequel is available to stream exclusively from Sky * before it opens in cinemas.

Our colleague Yves from the video team is also a big comic film fan and watched the blockbuster straight away. Since Patty Jenkins’s first Wonder Woman part is even the best DCEU film for him, his disappointment with the sequel is all the greater.

In his video review of the DC sequel, Yves first praised the few aspects of the film that were successful for him. As in Part 1, he finds Gal Gadot fantastic in the lead role. In his opinion, the dynamic between her and Chris Pine as the bizarre resurrected Steve Trevor is again a hit. Yves was also very convinced of Diana's character development in the film.

After that there is no more praise for the DC sequel. Instead, he explains why the film disappointed him so badly. This is mainly due to the script. For Yves, Wonder Woman 1984 has one of the dumbest, craziest and most bizarre stories he has ever seen in a superhero film.

It doesn't look any better with many characters. Figures like Barbara Minerva played by Kristen Goldmovies or The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal as villain Maxwell Lord are an embarrassing failure for Yves.

Overall, Wonder Woman 1984 seems more like a silly cartoon episode to him. Since he still loves part 1, after the totally disappointing sequel, Yves is still excited to see how the franchise will continue in the future with the third part, which has already been confirmed.

Scientists from the UK have informed that they will start such a program in January next year and will initially only invite young and healthy volunteers to participate in it to verify how small doses of the virus lead to the acute course of the disease. As we well know, under normal conditions, vaccine production takes a very long time and only at the last stage larger groups are vaccinated to verify the effectiveness - only in a very specific way, because the vaccinated people simply return to normal life and are monitored for many months, and then the number of infections is compared between this group and the unvaccinated placebo group.

One way to speed up the work is through the deliberate exposure of vaccinated people to the virus, but it is highly ethically controversial and is rarely used for fear of insufficient knowledge to keep participants safe. In the case of Covid-19, the situation is so difficult that similar ideas appear literally from the beginning of the pandemic and it seems that they will finally come into force, because the British government is ready to issue the appropriate approvals. The Human Challenge Program, as this initiative will be called, will be conducted by the combined forces of Imperial College London, the UK National Health Service and hVIVO, an organization that has been dealing with similar tests for 30 years and co-financed by the government with USD 43.5 million.

The first step will be a virus characterization study where young and healthy volunteers will be infected with SARS-CoV-2 to see how much virus is needed to cause Covid-19. It will be held at the isolated Royal Free Hospital, will cover approximately 90 people aged 18-30 and will run until May. By then, scientists hope to get all the data they need and start testing vaccine efficacy, but as the researchers point out at every step, volunteer safety is a priority: "My team has been testing other viruses causing respiratory problems for over 10 world top tech No research is completely risk-free, but with the Human Challenge Program, partners will work hard to minimize them, they explain. In addition to the crab mode, the GM monster will have adaptive air suspension that allows you to adjust the ground clearance in the range from 20 to 43 cm and the UltraVision system, which is based on 18 cameras and provides a 360-degree image of the vehicle's surroundings. All these systems are designed to help you overcome even the most demanding off-road.

Hummer EV is a power as befits this brand. The vehicle has three electric motors (one on the front axle and two on the rear axle), which in total generate as much as 1,000 HP and 15,590 Nm of torque. Thanks to them, sprinting to a hundred takes just over 3 seconds. This monster, over 2 tons, can therefore race from under the headlights with supercars.

General Motors ensures that the vehicle has been equipped with 200-350 kW fast charging technology. In just 10 minutes, the batteries can be powered for a distance of 160 kilometers. The total range is to be up to 560 kilometers. It is not as much as previously predicted, i.e. 1000 kilometers, but we must remember that it is a vehicle for special tasks, and therefore heavy and massive.

The American company boasts that the Hummer EV will have a very interesting CrabWalk mode, as well as Watts to Freedom, i.e. powerful acceleration, and adaptive air suspension that allows you to adjust the ground clearance in the range from 20 to 43 cm. One cannot forget about the UltraVision system, which provides a 360-degree image of the vehicle's surroundings, based on as many as 18 cameras.

Meanwhile, two large screens appeared inside. The first, with a diagonal of 12.3 inches, replaces the clocks, the second, with a diagonal of 13.4 inches, is used for multimedia. GM announces that the Hummer EV will tipsdump the first vehicle in the world to use a graphics engine that we know well from computer games (see here).

Unfortunately, the price is not the smallest. Hummer EV will cost 112,000 dollars (over 430,000 zlotys). In terms of performance, range and price, it is unlikely to be a good competitor to Tesla's Cybertruck. Elon Musk announces that it will be much cheaper, because the most powerful version with three engines is to cost 70,000 dollars (270,000 zlotys).

The sun can easily satisfy the energy needs of all mankind, and even dozens of such civilizations, because every second it converts 4 million tons of its matter into pure energy.

We can obtain it in many ways, but at the moment we should most invest in technologies that use the sun's rays to generate electricity. The billionaire here means solar farms and solar power plants. They currently have much higher efficiency and a lower price than a few years ago.

You can imagine that if Poland were able to process all the solar energy reaching the Earth's air, we would have 300 times more electricity than is produced in all power plants in the world. Now it is enough to realize how small Poland is in the scale of the whole planet, and you have to remember that only a handful of sun rays reach the Earth.

Elon Musk said that solar panels will be the future of energy development for individuals, and artificial suns for large groups of people. Until recently, the Danes boasted about their most efficient 9 MW wind turbine in the world, the V164 from MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, which weighs 1,300 tons, is 220 meters high and has 80 meters blades (one blade weighs 38 tons).

However, General Electric built an even larger and more efficient turbine. Haliade-X is to have a capacity of as much as 12 MW and produce 67 GWh of electricity per year. Only one such turbine is to supply electricity to at least 16,000 households. Haliade-X is 260 meters high and slick tricks blades are 107 meters long.

The Americans have yet to say the last word. GE engineers are working on an even more powerful wind turbine that is expected to enter service in the next decade fast ahead. According to the information disclosed, the turbine is to be adapted to installation at sea and will be 480 meters high, i.e. higher than the second tallest skyscraper in New York.

The device generating electricity, thanks to the power of wind, is to have a capacity of as much as 50 MW and generate 268 GWh of electricity per year. As in Poland, per year, we consume approx. 170 TWh of electricity, this means that theoretically only 650 such offshore turbines can meet the energy needs of the entire country.

A farm of 650 turbines may seem like a huge undertaking, but from the perspective of Western countries, where farms with 100 to 200 turbines are currently being commissioned, building several farms in the Baltic Sea will not be such an unattainable plan. It should be emphasized here that according to the Draft of the State Energy Policy in 2040, such investments in Poland will exceed the global pioneer of offshore wind farms, namely Denmark.

The government wants to build up to 1,000 wind turbines in the Baltic Sea in the next two decades. The total capacity of the installation is to reach 10.3 GW. It is worth emphasizing here that Germany, one of the richest countries in the world, wants to have 15 GW of offshore capacity by 2030, so the ambitions of a much poorer country like Poland are admirable. The EU authorities plan that by 2030 RES will constitute 32 percent of all energy produced in the Community.

If the development of technologies for obtaining energy from renewable sources will proceed at such a rapid pace, we can expect that in 20 years, green energy will flow from the sockets in most houses in the lion's part of the world, and the natural environment of our planet will breathe a sigh of relief.

Although this is 20 times the distance between the Earth and the Moon, the fact itself is worth noting, because we are talking about a unique experiment that may end in a very interesting future.

Starman in his Roadster orbits our day star in 557 days. Unfortunately, the Tesla dummy will not come close to Earth soon. Experts calculate that the next meeting during which we will be able to see the vehicle with the naked eye may not take place until 2091. Elon Musk has a sinister plan to intercept a vehicle that could be auctioned off in the future and sold for billions of dollars. The only question is, in what condition will it be then and where will it be delivered, to Earth, or maybe already to the base on Mars ?!

Starman and his red athlete will naturally not fall to Earth or Mars faster than in best tech guides few million years. Experts are not yet able to calculate a specific date, but it is certain that it will eventually happen. SpaceX has won a historic tender worth nearly $ 150 million. Under the agreement, Elon Musk's engineers are to build a cosmic superconstellation capable of detecting and tracking incoming hypersonic missiles from China and Russia. The devices are to be in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

The Pentagon revealed that SpaceX is to deliver 4 light satellites by September 2022 for a good start. If the device meets the hopes placed in them, there will be further contracts. The US government has plans to build several constellations. In total, they will consist of over 50 microsatellites. Some will be used to detect hypersonic nuclear weapons, the other for missile guidance, and others for super-fast communication that will connect command centers with spacecraft, planes, drones, ships and land vehicles. It is supposed to be something like a military space internet.

Using data from the Kepler mission, scientists have specifically identified 24 extrasolar planets that may be better adapted than Earth to the emergence and evolution of life. This fascinating discovery, because it cannot be denied that one of the most pressing questions of modern science is about the forms of life anywhere outside our planet. And while we still haven't found any direct evidence, exploration missions like Kepler have contributed a lot to our knowledge of planetary system formation, and have provided researchers with confirmation that it is worth thinking about life outside our solar system other than by speculation.

So far, we have discovered over 4,000 exoplanets, many of which have been found habitable, although keep in mind that this is a rather confusing term. It does not mean planets on which we can land and start a new life - rather, it means rocky formations located in the correct orbital region, where the temperature is adequate to keep the water in liquid form on the surface, without it freezing or boiling. To better visualize what planets we're talking about here, the Earth obviously meets these criteria ... just like Mars or Venus.

Therefore, Washington State University (WSU) has decided to slightly modify its search and identify 24 extrasolar planets that are not only habitable but potentially better conditions for development than Earth. They are more than 100 light-years from the Sun and were selected from the Kepler Object of Interest Exoplanet Archive for their ability to appear and evolve life. One of the features that can contribute to better living conditions than on Earth is the planet's sun - it is generally accepted that ideal candidates should be sought around spectral G-type stars, like our sun. However, the life cycle of such stars is 8-10 billion years, of which in our case 4 billion "went" to the evolution of any other than the most basic life forms.

K-type dwarf streaming audit by contrast, are cooler and smaller than the Sun, but have a life cycle of up to 70 billion years, which gives significantly more time for life forms to emerge and develop. The size and mass of the planet are also important - the Earth is able to inhabit its surface sufficient for geological activity, which gives us a protective magnetic field and has sufficient gravity to maintain the atmosphere. According to the researchers, if the planet were only 10% larger, it would have a much larger surface area to live in, and a temperature 5 degrees Celsius higher would guarantee biodiversity in rainforests on most of the planet. And while none of the 24 planets meet all of these conditions, one has 4 key factors, so there is hope.
